Melbourne’s round 1 shocker

It was an emotional week for Melbourne Football Club. Jim Stynes passed away and round 1 had arrived. Unfortunately for Demons supporters (note: I am not one of these poor folk) their team decided to give an insipid performance against a Brisbane team without Jonathan Brown and his partially constructed face.

I awoke this morning with an extra hour and the realisation that today is April Fools Day. ‘Ah ha!’ I thought. Maybe that explains Melbourne’s display. Perhaps they’d been confused by the mysteries of time and decided to play a bit of prank a day early. I got straight to sketching and the resulting cartoon is not posted in the Sports secion 🙂
